Market
The gas market – the gas produced at the Pande and Temane fields is sold to a main buyer, Sasol Gas Ltd in South Africa, however, part of the production is handed over to the Mozambique state as payment in kind of royalties (payment in kind of production taxes). This gas, in turn is sold in Mozambique by two Mozambican Companies, ENH who distributes it in Vilanculos and the Bazaruto islands and Matola Gas Company who supplies certain industries in Matola and suburban Maputo.
The condensate market - the condensate produced at the Pande and Temane fields is sold to a sole buyer, Petromoc Internacional.
Transport of gas and condensate – the gas from Temane to Secunda in South Africa is carried in a 26”diameter pipeline. This pipeline is owned by Rompco. The condensate is transported in tanker trucks up to the port of Maputo and subsequently exported to the international market.
